The absolute worst for iffy gigs has to be Van Morrison. Proper diva/grumpy irish barstud. The amount of times he's either stropped off stage, or been too pissed to even bother getting on stage, are legendary.

In some ways they're the best people to see mate.

You'll get loads of bands who turn up and always put on a half way decent show, but the stroppy ones you just don't know what you're going to get. Could be brilliant, could be absolutely bleedin' awful, you either go away thinking "what a waste of cash" or "wow, just wow" and it stays with you for ever.

Err, I'm going to throw this one as a wild card, but I saw Slade at Reading Festival ... back end of the 70's or early 80's ?

40 minute set, ending with Merry Xmas, in the middle of Summer. Really tough audience, but Christ, they put on a show and won all the rockers over.

Pfffttt.... Today's kids think johnny cash is condom money...... Im not that old tbh but love older music..... Also had the privelage of seein ACDC in concert.... And Metallica, black Crowes, motley Crüe, Queensryche and Take That supported by The Pet Shop Boys.
