ELO were sound. The first band I got into were Wings ffs. Bought Mull of Kintyre, (who didnt), and the B side was a song called Girlschool. Really quite a rocky track, so I bought Venus & Mars, and really liked it. Thankfully, AC/DC and the bands above rescued me though.
venus and mars is excellent
as is band on the run

They are indeed. Thought I would be the only one ffs. My Love is one of Mcartneys best songs imo. And I adore Silly Love Songs. (First proper girlfriend and all that.)
I like driving down the road listening to magneto and titanium man and singing along like a madman

Christ, that brings back memories. Havnt played any of that stuff for years and years. Wings kind of introduced me to Led Zep as well. Jimmy Page is referenced in the lyrics to Venus & Mars, (I think), and I asked me brother who he was. He hated rock, so naturally I liked it, and got hold of Led Zep II.

Didn't one of them die a while ago. The singer ?

Yeah I think it was the fella who ended up singing on most of their later more commercial stuff. It's the silly eejit with the eye-patch who has cobbled together some sort of band for a swan song tour.

I'm not heavily into them but not much happens in Northampton apart from rugby union so Dr Hook is something of an event I'm afraid.

Sad............

yeah the thing for me is, although I'm a fan of both, mccartney's post beatles stuff leaves lennon's in the shade

but I have to give john and his odball japanese mistress some kudos for taking part in this...

...that's a still from the rolling stones rock n roll circus...

at the end of which the bizarre sight of yoko ono being fired from a cannon whilst goaded on by a heroin addled lennon would have to be the cherry on the top of a very sumptuous cake
