….watching the two games yesterday, either Leicester are far superior to Ipswich or Arsenal far superior to RS.

issues off-field usually manifest on-field (which makes our survival last season remarkable given our ownership/Board turmoil & what was thrown at us), so it can’t be a sound foundation for Leicester to bounce back, especially when they inevitably lose players.

Burnley-Sheffield United is on ITV1 today at 5pm so will give that a watch to see how bad they look (although Burnley do have an incredible defensive record so that is something to build on).

Burnley up with a win as will Leeds if they beat Stoke.

……yep looking like promotion is largely settled but that battle at the bottom is intriguing.

Will enjoy watching Sky Sports this afternoon, they usually show the goals as they go in from all the games (not forgetting the Irish Grand National is on ITV).

Looking at how the season has played out, it’s still quite staggering that Leicester chose the ‘flavour of the month’ in Van Nistelrooy to try and keep them up, without any managerial experience outside of Holland. It’s also rather hilarious that they have continued to play that Wout Faes every game too, as he is an absolutely horrific centre half, one of the worst I think I’ve ever seen in the prem.

Leicester side is rubbish compared to what went down last time. That one had Dewsbury Hall who became their main man after some of their attacking midfielders left.

Now it is Harry Winks who isn't even making the squad and also Oliver Skipp who was a massive waste of money at 25m. Upfront last time they had younger Vardy, Iheanacho and Daka still had a bit to prove. Also signed Tom Cannon for championship but barely used him. Could do with that type of younger forward now.

I think they could do a Luton and be bottom six in 12 months time.

They were plodding along at largely a point a game when Cooper was sacked. If they had picked a manager who could've got a few more 1-0s and gritty draws and be on 30/31 points then it's still feasible they could've stayed up as they still have Ipswich and Southampton to play at home.

RVN one of the worst mid season hires we've ever seen at prem level. Up there with Nathan Jones and Remi Garde in terms of points but Garde got more in less games and he still left Villa about eight games before the end of the season.

I assume there's something in the contract that means it costs far less to sack him when mathematically relegated so would expect him to go this week.

I’ve only just realised Winks and Skipp arnt the same player.

I’d take that James Justin for his versatility ,IF at a minimal cost. Think he would be a decent enough squad filler given the overhaul we are likely to need. Not been at his best this season but he has enough about him to boost a minimal squad.
