It is definitely over now. Neither of the bottom 3 are getting to 33 points. Don’t underestimate the importance of being able to start planning early for next season. Especially considering the work required on the squad. A luxury we have not had for a long time

That Charly/Beto combo needs to mature like a fine wine - and we're probably a single win away from being able to 'experiment' a bit more. They must be focal to that process - assuming some Liverpool nob doesn't snap either of them in the next derby... whereupon the perp would get a tiny telling off, while Tarks gets a yellow for trying to reason with the ref.
Cooper had them 16th with 10 points from 12 games, and they’d scored in all but one of them. They were in with a good shout of staying up on that form. Since RVN took over they have 7 points from 14 and have failed to score 9 times. Coopers no guardiola but he wasn’t a bad manager for what their aims were.
Our goose is cooked.

Oh how I would love Wolves and Leicester to go down. Wolves do still need to travel to Ipswich.
Wolves still have difficult games against us, Spurs, United, City, Brighton, Palace and Brentford... probably making the Ipswich away game a must-not-lose fixture.
That having been said, Ipswich arguably have the harder set of fixtures, and are absolutely poo, so they'll obviously go down, just a question of whether it's 18th or 19th for them.

Give it up man, Leicester and Ipswich are on 17 points with goal differences of over -30. That’s the same points tally we were on 8 games ago. I know there’s a few who might have been dreaming of losing 8 in a row under Dyche to make it 10 losses on the spin but that would never ever have happened. I know it’s disappointing to some but we were never ever going down this season. We wouldn’t be as many clear but the likelihood is that we’d have probably been somewhere close to a point per game, that’s still 10 clear.
As it is we have a better manager now rather than having to wait until the end of the season so that’s good but there really is some nonsense being written here. Even Moyes has been saying how good the fundamentals were he was left, the resilience in the squad, the clean sheets record. We weren’t going down.
I like this kind of maths, makes all the hullabaloo around fixtures on who is playing who redundant.
Shows to our wonderful few pessimistic fans, and btw, I don't blame you after the last few seasons, that really our new stadium is a premiership stadium.
