The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)



I think next year or the year after we will start to do away with these threads.

Essentially, you have a majority of American owners coming into the league and they find promotion/relegation a bizarre concept so they are doing everything they can to construct it so that the three teams that come up go straight back down year after year. As such, the established teams are essentially very very low risk of relegation anyway

I feel pretty much the same. Still hope we have enough about us to win Vs Soton but not expecting anything of the other games really.

Just want the season to be over now and get to July when we can get some players in. I'm still optimistic for next season and really looking forward to the new stadium, but it does feel that the air has gone out of the tyres for what remains of this season and once that's the case, it seems impossible to reverse it.

Bit of a weird take. How about the American owners of Leeds and Burnley? Are they just not part of the conspiracy? Or do they intend to replace Newcastle or City as they aren’t American owned?
