The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Wolves will soon overtake us, so we’d be down if Ipswich did. Far from impossible.

If im one of the other sides down there i'm latching onto Everton. Cant win. Cant score. Was gona say hardly play well. But we actually never play well.
Whats not to love as a relegation rival than Everton other than we always seem to get out of it.
Well there will come a day being sh!t will catch up with you.
15 goals in 18 games....
We're sleepwalking into relegation unless things change.

Yep. You don’t save the Titanic by waiting for it to hit the ocean floor, you save it by steering around the iceberg.

Leicester, Everton, Chelsea, Forest all at risk from PSR breaches for the 2023/24 year, according to the brains trust on twitter.

I assume our risk is based on the known issue of loan interest treatment i.e no new news here.

Leicester looks iffy to me when you consider the size of their losses for the 2 previous years.

I always expect to be disappointed by Everton: the meme 'Everton, that' exists for good reason and I fear they'll deliver it in spades this season....our last at Goodison. I fully expect our first season at BMD will see us playing 2nd division (in old parlance) football.

Everton, that

If we get in the bottom three and TFG don't bin Dyche they are nuts risking their investment on a dinosaur without any effective game plan to score goals

Easy story to say us hopefully have avoided it

I think that's the tipping point. He is out if club goes into the bottom 3 at any stage this month. Worst would be sacking him right at the end of the window and not giving the next manager a chance to suggest some signings at least.

Well I'm refusing to get worried about a relegation battle.

Despite real huge concerns....

Sooo many posters on here are saying we're too good to go down: there are, apparently, there are at least 3 teams worse than us.

I'm not too sure.

On paper we might be better than the 3 worse team but we're doing nothing to suggest otherwise.

This season worries me more than last.
