The Now-Irrelevant 2024/25 Relegation Battle (Without Everton!)

Adding some new faces gives everyone a boost especially if they are in problem positions like Left Back and Right Wing.

I would love Dyche gone, new man in with 3 key signings but I am realistic. Dyche has to improve or be sacked, no ifs or buts. It's his squad and his team so his coaching is letting us down.
I agree…

The Esk wrote this in the Guardian:
“Dyche is performing in line with expectations and his career averages. But a first XI with nine internationals should surely be aiming higher”

Hard to argue against this

No mate, every club gets decisions for and against which are perceived as unjust by the supporters who look on with envy at other club’s decisions.

Those moments you outline above did not influence

- a Dyche Everton that threw away 3 points with 2 minutes plus stoppage time at home to Bournemouth
- a Dyche Everton that threw away a 2 goal lead to Villa
- a Dyche Everton that couldn’t beat a 10 man Brentford at home who had not got one single point on the road
- a Dyche Everton that threw away a golden opportunity of a 4 vs 2 attack against City in its dying moments.

If we do go down, it’s those types of results that are our own undoing not some Machiavellian plot hatched by the PL.

By the way if the PL have a hatchett to bury with anyone it’s Forrest who absolutely publicly ripped them a new one last year but they’re 2nd.
And don’t forget So’ton beat us too🙄

2 games? Seems very lenient to me. He'd get a red for that if he did that in game so would get at least 3 then. Thought the FA were all about sending a message about what might be acceptable at grass roots level... Oh well, no point moaning about other teams I suppose.
Could still have got a red card even after final whistle. Think the issue was the ref had probably already left the field when it happened.

Only the two game ban so he can move to United in Jan and be available as soon as. Premier League can’t afford to lose their main cash cow. They won’t want any thought of relegation being mentioned around Man United.

Going to try be positive about it atleast the form and postion the club is in hopefully forces the clubs hand. And we can get players in who can come in and make an impact pace and goals

Praying for a ban for the best player out of all the relegation threatened teams is clutching at straws a tad isn’t it………….suppose we need all the help we can get if our new divvy owners are keeping scotchy in charge.
