Gutted about the old trafford mess being the first of December. Granted there's a fixture been postponed, but unbeaten since, in a calendar month that looked rather difficult. Only (haha ''only'') man city away and notts forest at home left this month.

Our nightmare December has (so far) yielded 5 points from Utd (A), Wolves (H), Arsenal (A) and Chelsea (H), having kept 3 clean sheets. I'm sure most of us would have bitten your hand off if offered that on 30th November.
We're top of the mini league of the 6 sides at the bottom of the table (weren't people saying Palace are out of it a week or so ago?) having played a game less.
We currently have the fewest losses in the bottom half of the table and only the current top 4 have conceded fewer goals than us.
It's dirge. It's not good enough. But signs currently point to us being safe come the end of the season.

I'm hearing a lot of people putting City's calamitous run of form is down to the feeling they already know their fate and they're to be relegated.
Got me thinking that if the PL did relegate them how would they accomplish the process.
Would they for instance, state that four clubs would go down this season, meaning four clubs from the Championship would be promoted? Or effectively place them bottom of the Prem meaning that only two other clubs go down with them?

The PL are not and can not relegate Man City this season. They're playing badly because they have a wafer thin squad that's played 80 games a season for 4 years

City have more than a good enough squad. Dont know why when they are out of form, that excuses are made for them. Its probably more to do that Pep maybe does not give some players a chance, no idea. Its always the same with the so called big clubs that excuses are made like missing a few players as to why they are in bad form. They basically it seems relied on a certain player missing, so much.

I don't think that will happen but if City's punishment was a points deduction tantamount to relegation, they would appeal immediately anyway. It's impossible to know what will happen there.

If I can recall, the hate for Ward goes back to the season they got relegated as he replaced Schmeichel and was a complete holographic of a keeper. Every shot flew past him.

I think the problem for City is two-fold.
Whereas other teams in the Prem have basically put forward their case in mitigation when accused of financial breaches, City have disputed every single charge. That will not have gone down well with the PL Management, as it has cost the PL £millions.
In a time when the PL is under pressure re a Regulator, I believe the last thing the PL want to do is to be seen as being weak and not able to control any club within their ambit That would play right into the Government's hands. And I believe that the PL CANNOT go soft on City if a sizeable chunk of the charges are upheld against them.
Also to answer one of your points, if a massive deduction meant they were relegated, any appeal is likely to be fast-tracked in order not to create chaos for the start of the 25-26 season.
