Ten years ago today, @SerenityNigh. They'll never take that away from us.

Already watched that Tracy Porter touchdown this morning.

Fondly remember that day. We received an outrageous amount of snow here in DC the day before. Around two feet of snow. Had a couple of good slides on my sled down 16th Street. Surreal

DC's a unique city, will be visiting again for work soon but I don't know how you people live there.

(Jobs I guess, that would probably motivate me well enough.)

We’ve moved out to the close-in Maryland suburbs, but at that time we lived right on the MD/DC line. I was about 20 feet away from sliding from MD into DC on my best sled run

Is living in MD better? Or just cheaper? Clearly living in VA is the worst, or maybe does it all depend on your commute?
Six of one, half-dozen of the other. The VA and MD suburbs are pretty similar imo. State income taxes are a little lower in Virginia. In my case, when I moved to the area my office was in MD so that was the main reason I ended up in MD. A year later it moved to VA, but generally I work remotely so it hasn’t been a big deal. Luckily, I’ve never had to commute into DC. I do like the parks and county golf courses in MD—-I’d miss that if I moved to VA.
