First of all, their schedule hasn't been difficult. They barely beat the awful chargers, lions, and bengals. They also got smoked by the jets.

The remaining four games aren't incredibly difficult either. Derek Carr is just flat out bad.

They've gone over 25 possessions without a TD recently.

All they need to do is fix the D and they'll be a contender?...

That team has a lot of problems.

they had a hellish stretch, at Vikings, at Colts, a "home" game in London against the Bears, at Packers and at Texans.

But David carr looks decent enough these days, Jacobs gonna be excellent for the next 5 or so years. its a young team plus there is cap space, they have pieces of what could be a good team instead of at the beginning of the season where they had none. Plenty of teams go from 7-9 to contenders in a blink of an eye in the NFL, they need another good draft + 1-2 more players in FA to fill out the roster (provided they don't break the cap for them). Its quite doable there.

For me this season so far has been the Pete Carroll dream. He's a sadist, I am 100% convinced. Don't buy that overly positive disguise he wears. Gotta hand it to him though...that fake punt was fun.
