It’s a very very concerning for everyone involved; don’t try and play it down to fight your political argument, it’s bordering on absolutely pathetic

One did occur and could have killed multiple people rather than injuring 81; they other hasn't occurred and wont kill anyone because it's a known danger and people are out of harms way. I know which event most people would feel most merited a visit from the PM of the day.

It was an insurance fraud, nothing to do with the gas board. Eighty one people injured including one poor sod with severe brain injuries. Sixty three properties destroyed or damaged. But it was just a gas leak.

Not any disaster. New Ferry town centre was torn apart up here by an explosion. Theresa May didn't see fit to vist the place. No loss of life.

They do these visits (unless it's a major loss of life) as and when they see fit and when it's politically expedient to do so.

Got to wonder what sort maintenance and health safety checks have been going on at the dam wall... I'm reminded our esteemed foolish leader believes health and safety is for extremely stupid people.

Boris Johnson is coming under fire for an article he wrote back in 2009 attacking health and safety campaigners. Following the recent tragedy at Grenfell Tower which has left 58 people presumed dead, the article has resurfaced and it has not aged well.

Aye, it's a bit like May's appearance at Grenfall. Hard to dispute her presence, but good god she was awful. There's plenty to criticise in how they respond rather than anything else.

Its not uncommon for companies to year on year cut maintenance budgets on the sly to save money only to have it come back and bite them in the bum later.
