Current Affairs The next Tory (strong and stable) leader is Boris Johnson

Oh goody, more dung from the criminal forthcoming.

Given the news yesterday that Johnson hasn't done a lick of work for GB News since being unveiled as their hottest new signing 10 months ago (a period of time that includes not just a general election, but the first general election since his victory in the one prior), you do have to question the mindset of any of these would-be media moguls looking to get him on board.

The ultimate lazy chancer, he's been found out so many times but still finds people wanting to spaff money up the wall by putting it in his pocket.

She's yesterday's news. No real talent anyway and just owed everything to Johnson, who is increasingly irrelevant in UK politics. She tried to make a big deal out of not being involved in the Truss or Sunak 'projects' which could have been a decent shout but clearly just took her out of people's thinking instead. I suspect Jenrick has nabbed a lot of her natural supporters and has a better story about flouncing out of Sunak's government rather than just not getting involved in the first place.

Wish they could all be out.

Hope we don't end up with that spiteful little homunculus, Jenrick.

It's a balancing act, isn't it. Shorn of some glorious miracle, there will always be a Tory party or something of its ilk, and it will always have a leader, or be choosing one.

So from anti-Tory perspective, ideally you want someone in there who isn't remotely electable, but also someone that isn't going to try to pull the political conversation into darker places (because as LOTO they still have some parliamentary sway).

People thought Johnson wasn’t electable 10/15 years ago. There will always be a Tory party in power now and then so we should hope that they are at least led by someone who isn’t batshit crazy/ racist/ hates poor people.

Boris? Shady? No no no. Best there was, apparently.

The plebs deserve no answers, the plebs get no answers.

An old woman who’s house I was working at last week told me he was, in her words “a brilliant man”.

6 months ago I’d have gone to town in that, but i seriously just CBA anymore with people who have this weird mentality where they refuse to look facts in the face and admit he was quite comfortably the most corrupt, incompetent and dishonest politician ever to get to the dizzy heights of PM.
