What is the point in politics in this country when the people running the country only care about themselves and they are happy to back someone who has constantly been terrible at the job?

On another forum I frequent someone has just pointed out that 148 is 78% of the non-payroll vote (ie: the backbenches).

The tories will move him on before the next election. Its just a matter of when and how exactly they do it. Its what they have done consistently over history with unpopular leaders

Yes he won but the numbers are bad. He was hoping to keep it under 100 but 41% of his own MP's have no confidence in him.

Of course he wont stand down, but he's destroying the party.

The opposition parties have a total of 45% of the seats and presumably would not express confidence in Johnson. 41% of his own party dont have confidence in him.

But ya-know, get on with delivering brexit and the war in Europe etc.

He wont see the summer out.
