Nobody should be resigning…we went through two party leadership contests with a general election sandwiched in between. We all voted either for Boris or Sir Beer…they should both do the jobs they were voted into….

Complete opposite here. I think both Partygate and Beergate are hugely significant. There is very little more significant than being unable to have a last few moments with the most important people in your life. It is not faux outrage, Pete. People will never forget. Ironically, I hope Johnson stays as he guarantees a Tory defeat (especially if Starmer goes too). It may be a coalition govt but it won't be the Tories. Having said that, I think Johnson will be dropped before the next election.

We need to demand the highest standards from our MP's. A very slippery slope if they get away with this stuff. They're supposed to represent us but they act like we are their subjects.

We give them the power and they're supposed to wield it in our interests

They can't use the power we give them to make us follow certain rules and laws whilst they themselves are exempt

Starmer at least seems to realise that. I'll respect him far more than Johnson if he does in fact walk away following a fine
