He does indeed, although I prefer him to Boris. In fact, I'm hoping he gets the PM job . Scary isn't it?
See above. Gove isn't quite as offensive as Johnson. But then again would you want Hunt, or Raab?.

Of all of them Andrea Leadsom was probably the one I could stomach the most, and she went out at the first hurdle.lol

Think we need to just accept it's going to be Johnson mate. Nothing we can do about it anyway.

It's like a handful of rich people are determined to play a huge joke on the rest of us. The best that can happen is that he'll not do too much damage during a hopefully brief tenure as PM .
But what follows that is anyone's guess.

I personally think Brexit will be stalled and the country will have to go to a GE, probably next Spring. Who knows though, parliament will need to push through an extension for that to happen, and the EU would need to agree to it. I just think there's enough will, both here and across Europe, to avoid a no deal Brexit.

The problem with that though is that the GE will be dominated by Brexit, and it's anyone's guess what the outcome will be. We could end up with Boris as PM and Nigel as his deputy. Sorry, didn't mean to give you nightmareslol .

I suspect an election is actually Boris's plan all along, though only after he can first position parliament to take the blame for thwarting No Deal.

But I also don't think another EU extension never mind indefinite EU extensions is anywhere near as certain as British Leavers and Remains both seem to assume.

I agree. But if a GE is on the cards I do think that the EU would rather grant another extension rather than the alternative, which is no deal. Just my opinion.

Maybe, though I imagine it will need to have been called come October, and not just vaguely possible for next spring

It's so depressing thinking that one this lot are the best that the country can come up with to be the prime minister.

One of my cats could probably do a better job.
