In this world where we have watched mistake after mistake , lie after lie , ministers even the prime minister stumble over policies and numbers even over what misogyny means . Where we’ve staggered our way through the early days of covid , had ppe that doesn’t fit middle manned by donors and where the elderly were sent from hospitals to infect and kill others in care homes by the dozen . Where we’ve had parties that aren’t parties , laughing and eye test driving , blatant lies about just about everything I honestly thought we’d passed ‘Diane abbot though ‘ , but no no we haven’t .

Even if he does get the OK from this "investigation", anyone seeking out the technicalities is showing how little they care about the wider point. Especially when those seeking these technicalities are those making the rules. That's how I see it.

There are also plenty of other ways in showing your appreciation to your staff than allow them to booze in their work hours (if that is his excuse). That too screams to me that Johnson has no idea on how to run a modern organisation. No wonder he thinks so little of public sector workers, probably thinks we all booze on the job like he does!

He can't win here, it's an utter shambles whatever happens. If only we knew he was a lazy, incompetent oaf back in 2019....
