don't like him ,but why should he put himself up to a stage managed sideshow a few yards from an anti brexit protest, when he had already asked it to be moved inside so people could hear what was being said?
'did you see the Prime Minister's press conference?'

'yes, it was such a shame, I couldn't hear his lies over the sounds of protestors!'

no didn't see it , less i see of him the better, swinson is nearing the same levels with me as well cant stand the sight of either of them,
Listened to her on the radio this morning. Don’t think she comes across very well and don’t think she has that broad an appeal. Can see more Tory voters who are against brexit being attracted to the Lib Dem’s than labour voters if anything but I don’t expect them to make significant gains.
Less said about Johnson the better. He’s somehow making us look even more foolish on the world stage. I’m embarrassed to be British right now.

He deals with worse in the Commons. IMO, it was more to do with optics: the Luxembourg PM was a nobody (in his and his handler's terms). Johnson doesn't gain from that. I'm sure the public snub by Johnson was at the heart of the improvised one man show.

I agree it was stage managed, but my view on the reasoning differs. He would have gleefully stood there and spat out the same old guff but with the protesters giving him immediate feedback the news would have been that in all it's glory. So getting out of there just stops that happening, sure there is a story but we didn't get the defining shot of him being drowned out.

Just been humiliated by...the PM of Luxembourg for not showing up at their joint press conference.

"The Hulk" ran away from a group of noisy protestors hundreds of yards away.

No you're wrong there Dave. It was never set up for any politician to speak. I criticise Johnson as much as anyone but I cant criticise him there for that one with the rubbish organisation. You wouldn't have heard a word he had to say. Now you can argue he's not worthy of the lectern bit that's different.

This. Opponents of Johnson lose credibility if he's slated for everything.

Dont think so.

If he and his team are looking to position themselves as being on the receiving end of hostitlity off Europe so they can play to their base (which they are), him being drowned out by pro-Eu protestors shouting him down is an ideal scenario.

He just doesn't like stick...as is underlined on the occasions he's been collared in his walkabouts: like a rabbit caught in the headlights., almost speechless. He cant handle the rough and tumble of it all.

Hulk my arse.

What matters is that he gets a deal that's acceptable to the House.
All the theatrics don't matter. I'm sure it's not the first time the Luxembourger has been stood up.

she is over coached , the hand movements , facial expressions , use of vocal tones from soft to harsh to make her point, so false it's unbelievable like a real live Gerry Anderson political puppet just minus the strings.
She was all doe eyed looking at chukka before his speech it was sickening , show some self respect you desperate scottish wretch.
Hope the SNP get her seat in the GE.

You are absolutely right here, but you have more chance of him turning to celibacy than getting a deal that could pass the Commons. Like May, he is more concerned about what the lunatic fringe of his own party would do than he is about getting a Brexit deal passed.

He is fooling no one. No one in Europe, no one in the HOC, no one in the media. He is a cretin, and I pray that the ones who slavishly cling to his frankly pitiful claims and absurd declarations come to their senses. They wont of course, because they STILL believe the fantasy they were fed 3 years ago.
If only that were true. It couldn't be going much worse for him and yet he's increasing his lead in the polls. It's staggering.

While I can sympathise with that view, lets be clear here, the press conference was arranged first before the protestors arrived. It wasn't a case of finding a spot where Johnson would be embarrassed and locating the press conference there. As the Luxemberger said, they couldn't move it inside because the press who the event was designed for wouldn't have fitted. In ordinary circumstances it probably would have passed without a great deal of comment, but coming so soon after Johnson not only portrayed himself as Hulk but has spent the past few weeks calling Corbyn a chicken, it makes him look incredibly stupid.
