Allan Stubbs thinks Mourinho is not the best fit for Everton, is that because he is a wining manager and we dont do that?
Publicity wise there couldnt be anyone better moving to the new Stadium the press/sky and every other news outlet would have a field day as he has the magnetic attraction love or loath him, if we want to make as much money as possible then thats what you need but what a roller coaster ride for about 2 years .

The appointment of Mourinho would be more important for raising the profile of the club than almost anything else.
It would be huge news and there is no doubt that he would shake the club up from top to bottom which would not necessarily be a bad thing either.
He likes winning and in truth is a bad loser. Which is also something we could do with.

Anybody believing that any new manager is going to dramatically improve our position is fooling themselves. PSR is not going away and our progress will be incremental as we slowly improve the overall standard of the squad.

All that being said I think that it is highly unlikely we see Mourinho at Everton as the Friekdin's will have seen his methods from his time at Roma and it may be too abrasive for their liking.

But there other high profile managers who would do similar for the standing of our club in the game.

Cannot wait for all the resale value heads loosing it when he starts buying 30+ year old "proven" players.

Some on here accused one of the best managers of all time of being a dinosaur who couldn’t coach a session when he managed us.

He then went to Real Madrid and won two champions leagues and a league title.

They wouldn’t have Mourinho for a single second no matter how well he did.

IF we went for Mourinho (and he actually wanted the move), he would need to be backed 110% by the owners/board. There’s no way he’d last a season with some of the current squad. My head says it would be crazy, BUT i would love to have someone like him who is all about winning and who doesn’t care in the slightest what anyone else thinks or whose feathers he ruffles! I mean, it would have the potential to go spectacularly wrong i know, but either way it would certainly be more interesting than with the current manager. The attention he would bring and the raising of the profile would surely interest the new ownership….. In saying all that, we’ll probably end up with Koeman again!!!!

Mouton go wouldn’t dream of coming here, until we were a top 6 side, so definitely not in his lifetime.
He would raise the profile of the club, but destroy it, our club and players could not cope with the level of attention he would bring here, and we could not afford the players with the mentality to do so.

Carsley then a contender for Everton ?

….i honestly doubt he’d be interested and I doubt the new owners will offer him the job.

I get the impression he’s not keen on a high profile, high pressure position and he wanted to live in the Midlands because his child has Down’s syndrome and is settled there.

I don’t think he has the ego of most managers but I might be wrong.

He just doesn't seem comfortable with all the media stuff and you have to have to do a certain amount of it like it or not. He would make a decent no.2 alongside someone else though imo.

Used to be rather managers in Carlo's age to take on national teams, but strange to see young high-profiled managers like Nagelsmann and Tuchel that could almost train any club in the world.
