Hyperion author Dan Simmons dies from stroke at 77

I went into Hyperion blind, decades ago, knowing almost nothing about it. I was never the same.

Completely missed this, but Dan Simmons has died. He authored what is probably my favourite book ever Hyperion. For any sci-fi enthusiasts out there who haven't already, I strongly suggest reading it. RIP
