From a commercial depatment that asks itself: "What BS can we concoct to flog this stuff? I know, appeal to their sense of history...the mugs always fall for it".

They are completely cynical. I actially think that the club despises its own fans. It certainly gives no thought whatsoever to how the club is projected.

Johnson, Kenwright, Moshiri. An utter pisstake.

Yes it is, to all of us.

That's not the job of a marketing team though - it's to maximise income.

Christ we spend our lives complaining about how bad the commercial team are, and then when they actually take actions to increase the income (eg from kit sales) you give them down the banks.

Take a day off, Davey boy. I genuinely don't know how you have enough free time to attempt to take over every thread with your mindless negativity/whinging/windups (delete as applicable - leave the mindless though.) the way that you do.

If you think that marketing team have done a good job throwing out some old cobblers about "St Domingo" (which was a fantasy origin point for the club in any case) and Leitch cross struts for a pony kit reveal, then its no wonder theat commercial team have gotten away with murder down the years.

They're not even trying. It's a complete pisstake.
