IDK, my youngest is out of school with something, most likely COVID. If you want to use him as a punching bag, he can't much defend himself right now.

I mean, there are Tolkien nerds and Star Trek nerds. I find their arguments odd at best, but at least there's internal logic to the whole thing.

Nerds might be the wrong term. I think Tolkein fans and Trekkies can actively and humorously rejoice in their nerd status.

Bondistas definitely see themselves as tough, capable, sophisticated and sexy men. In a most earnest manner.
