I just found it funny how this article says that Everton didn't even know how long he had left on his contract.

I find it hard to believe Everton didn't know he had 2 years left.

Either way, still wouldn't be surprised if one big-ish name left and wouldn't be surprised if its him

Have Everton made a cheeky bid for Paul Taylor?

Tazor, to his mates, has been transfer-listed by Peterborough's manager Darren Ferguson after he rejected a four year deal.

David Moyes has had the striker watched a few times and he would be considered a gamble if Everton land the striker.

Paul was a former Everton youth player and has had stints in Belgian football before settling down with the Posh.

Ferguson said: "We've had a bid for Paul but nowhere near what we require. It's not near our valuation so we'll wait and see what happens."

Rhodes is going to Blackburn.

I think the story is based on a few whispers a journo has heard and he's put them together to make a story which maybe a bit off track. I do think it's possible that a 3rd party working for but 'independently' of the club might have got confused over Heitinga's contract details , but as you say above I think they wanted one and they've got him. As for Heitinga I don't think he wanted to go to turkey but i'm fairy confident the club (or people at it) were trying to move him on.
