Praying for McCarthy alongside Besic, but know deep down it'll be the crab Barry in there.

couldnt find a formation thread but when all fit
i reckon this would be decent or swap naisy with Barkley

Sorry if this has already been covered I haven't got time to read the thread but I 've just seen sky's joke of an advert for Saturday and liverpool tv strikes again. How can they set a backdrop on one team's anthem when they are supposed to be impartial broadcasters. Then there's there's the caption, 'could there be one more moment of magic' biased g0bsh!es, I hope we ruin there script. I was quite calm before I saw that but the usual pre Derby hatred has got me going now. Can't wait to take my seat in sat now, we gonna give me laa the send off he really deserves!

Barry might be useful against these

Well, this whole game is a mismatch, according to you, matty, so why would Barry make any difference?

We've been underachieving all season and have nothing to lose by trying something a bit different. McCarthy
and Besic together in front of the back four hasn't been tried, yet. Could be the start of a long and productive
partnership. Who knows?

I'd go in unchanged. I'd still start Naisy over Barkley, this is a Naisy game, his passion, leadership, toughness and ability to make something out of nothing or snatch a goal are exactly what we need.

McCarthy won't be up to starting, neither Lennon would like both to still get a decent stint on the pitch though.

If Howard is back to fitness I'd still go Joel over him too.

Sure he's trained a lot...but not with our team...massive mistake in my opinion. Only setting him up for failure with the fanbase.

Frankly, starting Lennon will do more harm than good if he isn't up to speed with the system.
It's a risk but an even bigger one is playing McGeady. Sometimes a poorer team can beat a better team when the better team isn't quite on it but with derbies both teams are always up for it so it's the quality that normally decides the games.

If we leave two better players on the bench (Barkley and Lennon) for two worse players (Naismith and McGeady) we will almost certainly weaken our chances of winning. Put it this way, if they dropped Gerrard or Sturridge to the bench I would be happy. I expect both to start.
