I've removed it as it's probably slightly controversial, even if it's probably very true.

I doubt 50m people will be cramming into churches tonight for midnight mass. Quite a few will be fighting inside and outside clubs, skanks getting to know strangers in that pissed up skank way, and people heaving in the gutters.

If the real message of religion is encouraging you to be a better person and compassionate to other people then I don't see the problem with it, society could use it more now to be honest.

Well I would like to know how much money the Vatican collects each year, and how many of their followers are still living in the streets.

Organised religion is based on giving people a better life, helping them, and so on. When I was in Rome there was so many people in the gutter, and they were praying at the same time. It just smacked a bit to be honest.
