The Mccarthy risk

To be fair though he wasn't really a risk, at least not for Bobby anyway. He's had a couple of years in the premier league and Martinez has been with him for a while now so he knew McCarthy's game inside out, he knew exactly what he was getting when he bought him

Im not saying osmans better just that osman is coming to the end of his career so a dynamic midfielder replacement is needed and lallana fits the bill. hes a huge evertonian too apparently.

Its off lads.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has agreed a ‘first option’ deal for Derby County’s brilliant youngster Will Hughes.

Rodgers will get the chance to buy the midfielder - seen as Steven Gerrard’s long-term successor - as part of a pact with the Rams.

The Kop chief has agreed to let England under-21 defender Andre Wisdom go to Derby on loan for the rest of the season.

Steve McClaren will be able to play Wisdom against Chelsea in the FA Cup this weekend after the new terms were struck.

Wisdom had been on a youth loan, with the option of going back to Anfield if Rodgers needed him. But now he has gone to Pride Park on a new basis.

And as part of the transfer Liverpool have an agreement with Derby that they get the option to buy Hughes when the Rams decide to sell.

Nice idea tho.

And if Brenda wants him hes clearly utter tosh.

13 mil for a young british player. Everyone groaned. Now. Everyone happy.

How would you feel if we shelled out 10 million to sign Will Hughes?

Well, ignoring their characters how much would these cost us;

Will Hughes
Ravel Morrison
Tom Ince
Batashayi (sp!)

OR do you go and spend the cash on a Lukaku type big name whose still young but somewhat a guarantee?

OR do you go and get a Paul Pogba type with the 20-25mil it would cost ?

It's a hard decision with the money and the key is really how much we have to spend and where we finish.

To answer your question though, I haven't seen him play :)

A 'first option' agreement isn't worth the paper it's written on.
