Lets put to one side that we had not won the two games before (Stoke and Wolves at Goodison) and put to one side the effect of getting whopped in Portugal has on the confidence, and just consider the facts of players not getting a rest because there is no margin for Moyes to do some rotation with. A lot of traveling, same players playing, Yakubu not fit, Fellaini not fit, Neill not fit, Debut for Coleman, Bilyaletdinov and Heitinga still settling into a new set of players and being expected to play in numerous positions.
We all knew it was going to get worse before it got better, as fans just have to grit our teeth and wait for the turn around. As players they just have to keep slugging away and never surrendering until reinforcements arrive. It is far from a perfect situation, but "Anyway you've always known The many ways I've tried."

Good post. Too many people are quick to say about how much they get paid and that they should be doing better yet ignore all likely reasons as to why they are not. Theres a difference between excuses and Explanations.

what annoys me is as soon as we get beat we roll out the players we are missing yes we are missing some good players on the ball and hav exp. but at the moment im so pissed off with the team because

the goals we are leaking are pathethic the team has no cohesion( regardless of where you are playing) i fear if this carries on too far it will have a major impact on overall confidence esp the younger players

last nights team had players we are used to seeing perform at a higher level and they didnt or havent been doing that .....

that is what is annoying

A thousand miles to Portugal? Surely not.

Isn't that when Piennar was injured?

Let's hope he and Baines at least are back for Villa, who didn't look great themselves at Wolves the other day.

Id imagine its more a matter of mental tiredness than physical, players look like they are switching off and not concentrating, thats the way the 3 goals at bolton looked to me anyway. There are all fit as ****, and are well looked after before and after games as regards diet and massages and so on, i think the travel and quick turnaround of games has made them mentally tired. Hopefully a day off today and a couple of players back for saturday and we,ll be firing again. Lets face it, it has to turn in our favour soon, just get stuck into villa from the start, make it a srcap, get the crowd into it and it could be the turnaround we are all looking for,ala united last year.
