Jeez if only it was just a domestic cup.. luck of the draw and all that jazz. They are going to be impossible to live with if they do it.

Everyone is worried about Liverpool, so what? The season isn't even over yet, and Jose can troll out a 1-0 victory against offensive teams as well as anyone in the world. If we were playing for the 7th place trophy, them winning it would be the ultimate suck. This year though, I'm going to enjoy what we are doing. Plus, silver linings, maybe City won't have anything to play for the last match of the season because us going undefeated for the rest of the season isn't going to be easy.

That would be top news for west ham.

Do you know that you can want Everton success without having to pay penance for it by having Liverpool win the league?

As crazy as that thought is.

Yes I don't want them to win the title, but its hard for me to get all worked up about it given that I hate the other 2 left as well. If Man Utd had Ferguson and was right behind in 2nd that's a different story because it would totally infuriate them. Plus look at the bright side, the tears will be more numerous if they lose the title later in the season now that they all think what's left is a cakewalk.

I really don't want to be this blunt, but what the hell... If you seriously hate Man City and Chelsea more than Liverpool as an Evertonian, of if the dislike of those two clubs are even close to matching the dislike of Liverpool, then you've either got a screw loose or you're not from the city of Liverpool.

There, I said it.

That's not what he's saying though is it? He's saying he is enjoying the brilliant season Everton are having too much to care about Liverpool's. Impossible as that sounds.

being in town today made me realise just how bad it would be if they won the league.... kopites everywhere singing they are going to win the league, with their kids dressed exclusively in RS merchendise.... and the gloating will just never end, even if we get 4th.... it isn't worth it.
Absolutely spot on. CL?, so what -- just to get a few pats on the head from the media for the month we're in it and 12 months of patronising (and far far worse) from Kopites of the 'didn't you do well' variety that they dish out when they win something. Pass me the blade........

Oh come on now mate...based on all circumstances 'brilliant' is how most would describe this season.

It's been alright, like.

Not so good that I can't have a conversation about my mortgage without thinking 'no I don't care about my finances, the only thing in the world that matters to me is that everton are doing well to possibly qualify for a competition that they can play in and win next year'.

I was gutted in the pub today after they won and that was only a small reminder of what it will be like if they actually win it.
I think it's a strange season this year (although by far the best season I've ever exeprienced). If Liverpool win it I can see them going on and becoming the next Man United, but if they don't I can't see them having another crack at it for a long while.

Not a cat in hell's chance of them 'becoming the next Man utd' -- unless you mean they'll be vying for 6th and 7th in future seasons.

No trophies = brilliant now?

What hyperbole will you use when we're actually good?
What did you expect from this season before we started? And lets be honest, it's all relative. It wouldn't be considered a brilliant season if we were City or Chelsea, but for where we are right now, it has been brilliant.

Spot on. No need to have held it back.

Jose will sort them out regardless and we can go back to getting 4th without the media/referees/defenders falling over themselves to give liverpool the trophy

It really has nothing to do with being worth it or not really. We had our chance to do our business against them, and got 1 point. Even so, we still have a chance of finishing the highest we have in a decade. Worth it? For you, maybe not, but these are two independent things...it's not as if they are linked.
