Agree with this. I’ve never been one for conspiracy theories, but the continued accusations of anti Semitism or calling him Marxist/socialist/trot cos he wants to tax rich people more and nationalise the railways is staggering. Surely they’re preaching to the converted anyways. I’ve not spoken to any labour voter who buys the anti Semitic charges.

I'm firmly of the opinion now that these attacks on Corbyn are an opportunity for those who see Netanyahu way of the world as being correct and the Corbyn bashing is to further their agenda, which is silencing anyone who remotely promotes the basic rights of those in Palestine, and Times seeing an opportunity to put down a wealth distributing labour leader.

Ironically even in a state as inherently unstable as the Roman Empire, their fire service (the Vigiles, originally freed slaves who dealt with fires, fire safety and later expanded into a low-level police force) were the one major public body that did not try to / actually managed to overthrow the emperor of the day.

Of course it was, Pete. Are we really questioning whether a state that had at least ten major civil wars, where its head of state was much more likely to be murdered / killed in battle than die in his bed, where the currency was pillaged by the people whose heads appear on it and which collapsed after two hundred years of absolute idiocy was stable or not?
