Current Affairs The Labour Party

Of course whether that reform is good or bad will depend on how it is written, who it involves and what protections exist for individuals within the organizations it covers.

Personally, seeing how the current Labour leadership behave I will be beyond amazed if the reform ends up being a net positive. Much more likely is something that systemically throws junior people under a bus whilst leaving the top unscathed.
I cant imagine a creature of the Establishment like Starmer leaving high ranking members of it exposed.

Those lefty unions you hate have been fighting hard for pay rises across the public sector and have worked with the new government to implement those rises as soon as possible.

…not sure I ever mentioned the word ‘hate’. I was a TU member.

There’s a demarcation between representing its members and making Government policy. I was a member of Civil Service Union for over 40 years, they even gave me a long-service award but they were invariably run by left wing members, even if I always voted for the moderates (and I always voted in the union elections).

I often disagreed with their political stance. I have no issue with losing my heating allowance.
