Me bus pass next to be axed and council tax single person discount, but suck it up eh.
Stop winging am just a Moaning Faaaaaar Right Pensioner who has had it to good.
 
Labour could dedicate the next 5 years to do the one thing that would actually change our country for the better.

But they won't because Labour and Tory are two cheeks of the same arse.

They could tax assets rather than just people/companies, and close loopholes to crack down on tax avoidance by the super rich who live in off-shore tax havens. The people and families with vast generational wealth who own billions in UK assets (land, property, supermarkets, banks, government debt, mortgage debt etc), but pay minuscule tax in comparison. This is the real reason why young people can't afford houses, why we have huge amounts of empty homes despite a 'housing crisis', why the cost of living is sky-high, why our public services are falling apart, why winter fuel allowances for pensioners are scrapped, and why we have a forever-growing national debt.

We're being bled-dry by the off-shore super rich and successive governments do nothing to stop that because they're all 'beholden to wealthy interests'. All previous governments (Labour and Tory) could've addressed this, but didn't.

Labour won't do anything about this. They'll probably increase the tax burden for society-contributing, tax-paying people earning over £100k a year (e.g. - small business owners and Doctors), but that's just a strategy to just appear as through the wealthy are being taxed. It'll do nothing to address the ultra rich who push money while holding vast assets, contributing nothing, and continue to profit at our collective expense.

In the meantime, this Labour government will absolutely continue focusing on stuff like:
  • Making pensioners worse off (which they have chosen to do rather than what I've outlined above)
  • Mass, illegal immigration which is never properly addressed.
  • Culture wars that just get more vicious every year and are hyped by the media and the politicians themselves.
  • Calling everyone racist or sexist or Islamaphobic or transphobic.
  • Daily knife crime being the norm.
  • Freely available porn on demand to anyone with an internet connection, regardless of age.
...these issues are either intentionally exacerbated, or invented to control the narrative. Because equity, freedom and social justice are not the concern of the government. All these things are intended to keep the man in the street distracted and distrustful of their fellow citizens so that they don't focus on the actual cause of our crumbling society.

The NHS review - agency nurses & agency specialist are draining the funds - Plus the massive appointment departments to see a specialist need ending - a specialist secretary could set out each appointment direct using emails & not postage nowadays ....

I attend a Diabetic & renal unit whose office doors are next to each other - they may as well be miles apart - no communication they send letters to each other .... in the same building .....utter madness - staff work hard led by donkeys .....

I dont know the specifics of your circumstances Joe, but I presume you aren't seeing them immediately after each other.

I feel like you're being unnecessarily agressive here considering I was just asking you about how you visited each hospital department.

But since you asked, I work very hard in a job that requires a degree from an actual university, which is why I can formulate and write in sentences.

Don’t take it personally mate, he’s like that with pretty much everyone and reserves his special venom for cyclists, the good folk of Jersey and most recently Sir Kier.

I didn’t take it personally. Just pointing out his unnecessary hostility.
I just assumed he'd got the renal and diabeties door mixed up, and they'd given him dialysate accidentally. Full of glucose that stuff.

Irritability and anger are quite common for diabetics.

Apart from being a know it all - I could teach you all I know, & you would still know nothing ..
