….Starmer saying no decision has been made re Abbott and that she hasn’t been barred from standing.

He had no option did he. Caught out telling porkies about the ‘ongoing’ independent review, when in fact it concluded back in December, Union leaders signing letters about the matter and it being raised by the BBC. He quickly reinstated the whip but still wanted her out. While I think he was actually doing the right thing, his porkies will come back to bite him. She will no doubt be bought off with a seat in the Lords……

…yep, suggested the Lords last night. I actually wonder about her capacity for public service, she’s been through a lot and it looks to me like it’s taken a heavy toll. The whole saga has been dreadfully handled.

I know you know this mate but it is worth noting that Starmer can't call for anything until he is in power.

He can call for whatever he likes; nobody will pay attention until he is in power (and probably not very much even then).

I personally don't like to know what my elected officials believe until they hold office either. Makes the joy of voting all the more of a lottery.

He's probably hiding behind the couch waiting for his spin doctors to tell him what to say.

Starmer knows atm he's vulnerable to trade union criticism because of the 'New Deal for labour' BS policy and the 'Labour' need for a warchest.

But after the election he'll look to sever ties with the unions...as per Mandelson's instructions.

Apparently Russell-Moyle's just been informed that a complaint has been made against him from several years ago and has to step aside because there's insufficient time to be cleared before an election. The PURGE is on(going) ! How insecure is this man Starmer ?
