10 seconds in... "from a minister, who said to me"...

Who is this minister? Why doesn't he tell us who this minister is? Why doesn't he offer even a shred of evidence that what he is saying is true?
This sudden demand for open honest integrity after having to endure Kuenssberg make a career sucking up to the Tory Government and its assortment of crap PMs in the same manner is truly amusing...

Rachel Reeeves held her Mais lecture. The Mais lecture is a right of fire that every Chancellor to be goes through, outlining their plans for their time in Office

She identifies that "Treasury Brain" has been limiting Britain's growth potential and promises reorganization of the Treasury. Promising to "fix a problem" rather than "set light to it" with an aim to promote business investment

She's going to give the Office of Budget Responsibility more power, keep the Bank of England's 2% Inflation target,

She also says that her plan is to get the "current" Budget into balance saying that Labour will borrow to invest (capital investment) but won't borrow for day to day spending

Is it Labour Party policy to praise Thatcher these days

The cleverest question of the day came from the SNP’s Stephen Flynn, who found a zinger that managed to skewer the Conservative and Labour (the SNP’s main threat in Scotland). He asked Sunak:

"With his backbenchers looking for a unity candidate to replace him, which of the now numerous born-again Thatcherites on the Labour frontbench does he believe best fits the bill?"

Technically not wrong though, her vision was that of the unwashed and thick masses very much under her jackboot. Her complete contempt for the working anyone was total. My guess is this is entirely his point? There's been as good as two generations since her and people need sign posting to her many forays of action against the poor.

She despised the working man/ woman especially if they lived in the North, hated her then and still hate the memory of her.

Maybe Lammy is aware that the only Labour government in my lifetime largely continued Thatcherite policies but tried to soften the edges. At times it's hard to know if some people willfully mischaracterize her or are simply ignorant.
Yeah, the milk-snatcher's deffo the victim lid :)
