So what toilet is a trans person going to use. They going to have to piss against the wall?

Probably depends on the person, the context and how they feel.

Many work places have unisex toilets which are individual units.

In public places it can be more challenging. I've got trans friends/colleagues who don't necessarily like 'presenting' in the wider public and would think twice about going into a toilet if they were - for fear of the abuse they'd get.

Also know someone who does 'present' and gets around it by using the disabled loo in pubs, again because of the potential for abuse.

All of the above are obviously problematic. As Charro says, it's a really challenging topic.

FWIW he didn’t say that (the implication that Israeli consent would be required for the UK recognising Palestine), it was in the speech by Wayne David afterwards - and he also explicitly said that no peace was possible whilst Netanyahu is in power.

It’s a colossal fudge, and that line (about Israeli consent) was almost certainly added to the speech late on given how much it stood out.

As you can see from the original post you quoted, I support trans rights, so I don't understand why you're taking this tone with me.

This is a complicated, complex subject and we will only come to a reasonable resolution if we can have a reasoned debate that takes into account the safety of women and trans people as well.

I don't believe we are capable of having these discussions unfortunately.

Are you happy with ignoring the countless women's groups who have raised concerns over this subject?

Surely if you support trans rights you wouldn’t force someone who has transitioned to use toilets that will now be for them the opposite sex
