Of course it is. It's important bit in a drip feed way. No foreign conflict is ever going to knock an opposition party sideways, but the corrosive effect it has internally to the former Labour Party will be enormous.
This is an Iraq War level event in those terms. Blair's Labour never recovered internal discipline ever after that and the appetite of activists was crushed.
We're going to see a one term Starmer government.

There's no way I'd ever consider voting for this lot. How on earth anyone who believes themselves to be on the left or even left of centre can, I just don't know.

Your dislike of Starmer puts you at great disadvantage. As you have a tendency to over egg the pudding which is just simply not proportional or accurate. As a human rights lawyer Starmer will know that wading in accusing other nations of breaches of international law in the circumstances we sit in would be a mistake in oath let alone further political diplomacy. Urging them to comply with it is better. International law is contextual and just arbitrarily deciding something is or isn’t a breach is certainly not something the leader of the opposition should do in the U.K.
