Waddy we are struggling to get £3 mill out of Spurs at the mo !!!

Let me guess...

* Spurs approach and get a pre-contract agreement.
* Chelsea come in and bid £3m.
* Spurs panic and also bid £3m. Everton knock it back as they're tired of the way Spurs are doing business.
* Chelsea talks break down over signing-on fee and wage.
* Spurs then have the £3m bid accepted, but are trying to haggle down to around £2m as the competition is gone.
* Pienaar's agent talks up interest from abroad to speed along negotiations.

* We say 2m and throw in Kranjcar for the rest of the season, and I wouldn't mind so much, if the above all happened

Kinda . That sheeeeeiiit , anyway ...

Pienaar isn't going to get a game at Spurs.

We play to his strengths. If he isn't the focal part of a team, if play isn't constantly going through him, he's half the player. That's why he flopped at Dortmund, and never got a kick at the World Cup.

In two years, he'll be linked with a return.

Completely agree, Danny.

He's a great player, but we're made for him, and vice versa. There isn't a fullback in the world he'll be able to link up with as well as Baines, and as Pienaar's end product is never really that massive, sohe relies on other players to really shine. He's the middle link in a potentially class chain, but he's going to lose those links in exchange for a bigger paycheck. I think he's an idiot, myself, but whatever. He clearly believes his own -- agent-instilled -- hype, and wants the big bucks.

Not bad Tubes .... They never originally bid 3 mill !!! Gaffer probably looking at some of their players :) before deciding what currency to accept if you know what I mean....
