reasonable being obscenely high but not as obscenely high as others? 30-40k a week should be more than enough for a guy who has only had half a season in the league.. he needs to learn early on everton dont get held to ransom.

Actually that's my point. If someone who is a defender and a utility player can get paid that here, then why not someone would be our first choice striker? Strikers are more important in the modern game.

Saha is on £60K a week, Yak's on £55K a week, LCAB said Ba's asking for nowhere near £75K as some have suggested, so his demands surely can't be that outrageous? And ultimately, we need a new striker more than we need £65K or £60K or whatever he's asking a week.

He was offered a new contract a while back.

Once on here when I was calculating how much he'd cost us since he last scored (the time he had that barren 11 months) I estimated his wage and THT told me it was a lot higher than I thought. I believe he expressed it was around the £60K mark, yes. I'd be happy for LCAB/THT to confirm this or correct me, either way, but I'm fairly sure that's close.
