Thought he was poor today, was very reactionary instead of being proactive, ball watched and did ok and Toress but played him by trying to kink him rather then out play him.

Bad snide also.

He wasn't poor today at all. In fact a more than able replacement for Jags.

However, LCAB reckons he's off this window so matter ye not!

yeah i thought he was fine today, not to distin standard (MotM for me) but solid nontheless... much better at centre back than midfield thats for sure; personally, in terms of pure ability, i think he's better than Jags. However, he's obviously a bit of a ******** off the park, so cant say i'm sorry he's off... especially if we get £7-8m for him as has been suggested on here, not a bad deal in the current financial climate!

Did alright today, put in some decent blocks and to be fair, his long balls are Scholes-esque...I would still take Distin over him anyday of the week, though.

...And he still hasn't scored the bad hood!

I've hated him for awhile but he looks to be acting like a professional now. Defensely he's OK. Even when his mind is elsewhere there is no excuse putting Hibbert or Neville at the CB position.

I thought he was pretty good today. Jags is the better defensive option but Johnny H's long balls were excellent. He is the 1st CB we've had in a long time who realizes there is nothing in the rule book that says you can't hoof the ball to wide open attackers.

I thought he was decent today, and I loved it when he put Fernando in a hissy fit. Johnny looked at him, rolled his eyes and basically said "whatever."

It's a bit of a hard call.

Everyone has their favourite players and i think Jags is great, but Heitinga has not done bad in the last couple of games (aside from his aspirations to join Bayern Munich the beautiful...er club ).

We have three really good centre-halves at the club right now. Any two of the three in the centre of defence makes me happy :)

It's not a problem area, which is why I was always surprised with the Wheater link ad nauseum.

Eric Dier makes sense if you think in terms of transition; all three are getting on a bit so thinking to the future is the way to go rather than new signings.
