So where do you see his best postion at?

From what I've seen so far I'd say centre back. That is his 'natural' position. But I do think he's got the tools to be a very capable centre midfielder.

It's early days though, we'll have to wait and see. Like you I'm still not 100% sure.

Im not 100% convinced in his defensive talent. He can throw himself into tackles a bit too much and is also easily pulled out of postion such is his desire to track the ball. Thats not completely a bad trait, but for a Centre Back its fairly important.

Hes wasted at RB, he hasnt really got the pace to get up and down, but his passing is a joy.

It would seem his game is suited best in a 5 man midfield, with the right balance a player with an eye for a pass and the ability to get stuck in is an asset.

As ive said I like what I see from him, hes got the right attitude and he can play, Hail Johnny.

Realistic, with L pissing off we needed a good CB. The money on Heitty and Distin would have been better spent on another up and coming CB, Cahill, Shawcross, Upson or even Wheater.

Both players offered us options tho, Distin CB/LB, Heitinga CB/RB/DM/CM, with a squad as small as ours and as injury ravaged, they will both play a part.

Distin has been a bit shaky, but the team as a whole has, its unfair to point fingers at the moment.

Well in. 8 out of 10 for effort.

Not in my book you do not want a multi role at this section of the team. Good goalie, and 2 proper CBs in front flanked by 2 proper LB and Rb not players who can make as a bit of cover. You start from there nad biuld out.

We have 3 "natural" CBs in the squad, Yobo, Distin and Jags. We have 12 RBs in the squad and only 1 real LB. I like the way Moyes has built the squad, hes done well with what hes had. Sadly it is a little unbalanced, but thats not entirely his fault, some of the players he has tried to get have gone tits up, so hes "made do".
