They were available though and Jacobsen unfortunately was injured for quite a while.

Well Jo is back and by the way Saha was a new boy last summer wasn't he?

as am i,it's not often we get linked with a proven international especially after being left in the lurch with lescott going but we've signed distin and hopefully we'll get heitinga onboard too, they're both composed/assured players to me and i'm just hoping for that magical playmaker to be signed but so far it's far better than last seasons transfer deadline when we had no one till fellaini signed.(y)

To be fair...I think Ossie, Pienaar, Billyale (new russkie) can all be given a shot in the middle of the park to pull the strings till Arteta gets back.

I just want a right winger.

You're not wrong Robert but i'd say i'm happier with this squad than last years, especially if we get another 1 or 2 in before the deadline mate

exactly,it's nice to have the players fill in the various roles on the pitch and it's good to know we're improving the squad plus also utilising them elsewhere, not often we can say that about the squad, too many injuries and not enough players to fill in.

I think we have made enough exposure to make people notice us. Our european adventure have been positive these 2 seasons, we made the FA cup final and we finish 5th twice. I notice a trend of players warming up to us which we can only dream of 5 years back. And that is why players like banega, vdv and heitinga is interested.

He Guys

I'm new on here, decided to transfer here since the blue room shut down. Anyway latest reports seem to be that Johnny is at FF for his medical and personal terms have been sorted.

It won't let me post the links because I have less than 10 posts but it'son ESPN, Goal and Daily Post websites.

I think this one is going through IMO

Welcome to GOT, NSNO1878.(y)
For what it's worth, we're well aware of the Heitinga rumour.:D

Not a rumour Dutch, he was shown on SSN in a Mercedes S class arriving at Finch Farm. Whether a deal will actually be hammerd out is another matter.

Thanks mate

I know everyone is aware of the rumour but I got the impression that person terms were a problem and only in the last 10 minutes have ESPN reported that "Heitinga is understood to be on a lucrative salary at Atletico which the Everton hierarchy were unprepared to replicate at Goodison Park. But differences appear to have been settled after the 25-year-old's arrival at the Toffees' Finch Farm training ground."
