The inside story of how Everton are planning to crack the top four

@davek your thoughts sir ?

Any imaginary reds hiding under the bed that we need to know about ?
I posted that article earlier. It's purpose is to mark Evertonian cards for the summer on spending. That was the intent. Be realistic because of FFP (we can't do a City) and we need to wait to get a stadium earning big cash before the club can compete for big players and start spending on fees and wages.

It's the same message Elstone has delivered for the past decade.

I read it twice and frankly only because the first time I thought - "was this written by a professional writer". I have read better essays from 12 year olds. the piece meanders from point to point with no real structure. There are no revelations or even new news. The subject is treated fairly but without any real insight. I fully share the sentiment but what a poorly put together piece! Sorry....

When it comes to the stadium, Elstone needs to be more ambitious and less cautious.

Stadium = Legacy

there’s a widening belief that it’s not just about money.

it is possible to outperform budget.
Honest and positive quotes from the CEO but, for me, they reinforce the idea that the hype of the £100m budget and £60m bid claim are fading away and being replaced by more down to earth expectations.
I've now 95% accepted there's no massive net spend coming. Lu and £25m perhaps. Going to need every penny too with the terrible injuries we're having.
Overall, even if we don't have a sugar daddy it's clear we're miles better off than pre Mosh and if SW delivers, and we get some luck, we just may be able to do a Spurs onfield and get a new stadium within a few years.

I'm going to have to disagree mate. And only due to one person.
Ronald Koeman.
No way would he have taken the Managerial position of "Project Everton", and stick around after the first season, if he has been promised a lie.
I believe therefore that the funds are there. Without the sale of Lukaku.

Don't forget though koeman had a red Christmas tree the fraud !
As I mentioned to @davek yesterday, the fact RK had some red Christmas tree decorations is not reason to level accusations of him being a kopite.
I used a combo of silver and blue baubles on my most recent tree but there was red crepe paper at its base...I hardly think that makes me an LFC supporter. Red is quite a Christmassy colour you know.

5% of me is clinging onto that hope because without major investment in the team it's going to be a huge challenge to become a top 4 side.
Don't want to go over all the arguments again but I haven't seen any evidence thus far and the media hype is quickly evaporating.
We'll see what the summer holds.

It's not going to happen. Not on a regular basis anyway.
"Money where your mouth" time for Moshiri.

It's not clear where his mouth is though. Last year it was claims of a £60m bid, monopoly money.
This year, at the GM, he emphasised building something 'sustainable' which is what the CEO seems to be alluding to without using the word.

How about a big money signing, without selling one of our top players first? I think that would be a good start...even for dave.
