I've read, posted and lurked a lot over here for four or five years, and remember the time when a thread like that would have been met with mock disdain and simple posts like "Koff lad" and "STFU mate". Sadly, many parts of the interweb ( not just GOT btw ) have, in fear of upsetting anyone, become overly sanitised.

Most people recognise when sometimes's just extracting the proverbial urine and mean no harm, but the ones who take the faux insults seriously, and complain to the people that run forums like this have a lot to answer for in leaving the mods and admins little choice but to conform.

Oh, and yes, I've been drinking

After posting pgheverton's immortal Trindon Holliday recommendation word for word in the transfer thread - and most people not having a clue what I was doing and assuming I'd been hacked - I'm thinking it's worth having a thread which summarises the best ever GOT moments. There's been a few over the years, but they're sporadic/outdated (as far as I can tell), so I'll update this post with recommended threads so we have a 'bible' of sorts.

I get concerned if people take me seriously tbh mate. GOT is a bit of fun and if I insult someone, it's the user and not the person.

It's all a bit of fun, but obviously some people get a bit NSNO.
