Yes definitely. It's roasting here for months. I was on the beach Saturday and all the Spanish kids are up and playing, swimming in the sea at 1am. They have siesta because you can't really go outside so everything starts late. It's fiestas now too so there's just music playing all through the night until 8am. It's not unusual for the young kids to be out until 3am playing round here. Most people just take 3 weeks off in August and go mental. It's a truly wonderful place

Had no idea the Spanish are so keen on Tom Jones...

I live in the mountains has hit -6 couple of years ago. Usually gets to -2 nobody goes out in winter where I am.

Good stuff..out of interest, would you say Spain is significantly hotter, on average than the UK? And if so, do you think they may have adapted their infrastructure and perhaps culture to limit the effect of hot weather?

They build railways with lines that don't buckle.
