The Hangover Part 2

OK so just went to this. Loved the first one, proper boys movie and ace when I lived with mates. (please note: it's still no Batchelor Party from the 80s, the best lads film ever).
So was pretty excited about part 2. Seen the previews, looked ace and over the top just as I wanted.
Have to say a little disappointed in it. I reckon I could only count 3/4 really laugh out loud moments (but they really are funny), and he rest felt a bit meh.
Not as good as the first one for sure, but if you liked the first one it's worth watching, if only for the 3/4 major laughs.

Smithy score: 2/3 Championship Belts out of 5.

I rolled my eyes when I found out about this film. The first did not need a sequel, but obviously the unexpected success has provoked one out of greed rather than necessity. The reviews I've seen -- both critical and user -- have confirmed my suspicions.

I'll be giving this a miss, like.

Had a feeling this would happen. Shame

The first, for what it was, was great

I've had nights out like the first one, except the tiger part.

BUT I did nearly get sparked by Paul Smith JNR, and went for a swim in Sefton park( all in the same night )

Good times.

Basically a completely recycled movie. Although Galifanikas can deliver dead-pan humor up there with Will Ferrell.

AS for the movie, funny parts in it, but SWERVE. Save the money and catch it on a rental.

Despite being mighty cynical about the movie, it still has a great cast. Ed Helms is a good, late-blooming comedic actor, I <3 Bradley Cooper and Galifianakis is a lethal comedian -- his stand-up is great, his comedic acting is great and that spoof interview thing he does (Between Two Ferns) is fantastic.

Like I say. The 3/4 funny bits are really funny...but it's just not as good as the first one.

Oh and I'd put money on a 3rd one.

You just want to bum Cooper. I thought Helms was superb in The Goods and in the first Hangover.

I'll be swerving it. Didn't think the first one was great to be honest and if this is the same but in a different location can't see why I'd feel any differently!

He's good in the American office too, and brilliant in "Cedar Rapids".

And yes. I want to do ungodly things to Cooper.

I am not a fan of The Office, American style or not. And I haven't seen Cedar Rapids.

saw it last night with the Mrs and we laughed our asses off. I am a sucker for a comedy monkey though.

Turn brain off and enjoy

I too was a little dissapointed. Although everyone in the cinema was saying it was better or just as good as the first. I found myself wanting the exact same things to happen as in the first movie and getting a bit nostalgic. I dont mind recycled stuff as long as its good! I thought it was a bit darker than the first film aswell, due to some of the things that happened and also where it was set. It was still an enjoyable watch and I hope they make The Hangover 3! I know they can do better than this film. Although Alan was absolutly marvellous again from minute 1. I give it 3.5 out of 5.

I'm still waiting on Superbad 2. I love these movies!!!!
