ChicagoToffee

generally quite awesome.
All in all, seems a pretty solid newspaper and I am a big fan of the Rumour Mill they run during the season.

Best snippet from the Rumour Mill yet: (from today's post)

No one wants Jô.

Certainly fictional.

Is the Guardian worth my time other than the Rumour Mill giggles?

I like the guardian. The rumour mill is boss, the Knowledge is interesting trivia and the joy of six is always worth a read. Apart from that the reports are pretty good but without wandering too far from the CL team love fest.

It's at the better end of a piss poor market .

Indie man , meself , lid . Guardian at a push .

Morning Star if none of either .

Another gem from today's Guardian Rumour Mill:

9.31am: To celebrate last night's heroic backs-to-the-wall rearguard action against Arsenal (apart from the opening 20 minutes when it was in fact quite abject), Manchester City will stage a press conference this afternoon to unveil plans to incorporate a yellow stripe running down the back of their shirts from next season.

9.48am: Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is suffering from a dislocated shoulder as a result of spending the majority of his team's match against Arsenal standing in his technical area, frantically waving his thoroughbreds back into defence as he forced them to ignore their instincts to play actual football and try to score goals.

Suckers.

I used to dig it . Met some peeps from there when I was Volunteering . Sound as . LIKED a DOOBIE , too . ALL OF THEM .

I'm an Indy man , meself , now . Its the Middle Age thing , I think .

( Didn't realise Id already posted , Chig' . Sorry , Dawg . )

The podcast is frequently very good as well, in fact you have to wonder whether James Richardson must be a massive **** most of the time because he is so much better at his job than Lineker, Keys and the rest of the mainstream ilk.

The rest of the paper can be rubbish though, especially Polly Toynbee.

www.guardian.co.uk/football.

Everyday, 5 or 6 times.

They have everything, great articles, live (hilarious) match threads, the rumour mill is great, the chalkboards are brilliant and I really like their "Joy of Six" and "5 things we learned this week" column.

Not arsed about which political views a paper has 'cause I only read the sport section anyway.

You mean there's other sections? I check it daily but only the Football section. No gas for the rest of it.

Rumour Mill is great and minute-by-minute are top notch but the best has to be Raphael Honigstein on the German league (it's on winter break atm). One of the funniest and still accurate sports writers I've come across.

Used to be an Indy man here as well, but some of the newer stuff (Julie Burchill??) is putting me right off.
