How does that make me look daft?

You have one of those these days? I thought the Green Party was just Ralph Nader's way of self-sabotaging his product safety agenda.
They've been around for years. Think they have one seat in parliament (Brighton?) but little traction elsewhere, bar maybe local elections.

They have a huge problem getting serious coverage and attention. Contra the absolute ghouls in UKIP who have managed to command a disproportionate amount of media coverage and an outsized influence on British political life without any actual responsibility.

I keep joking the Greens need to find themselves an outlandish gobshite grifter to get heard ore widely. Which is pretty sad, they've a good message.

Thought I'd start a thread to discuss the Green Party.

It kind of feels like the only discussion they get on here is in the context of being the Party folk will vote for instead of Labour. Which is unfair, they should get more space to discuss their policies, position and prospects*.

Have at it.

*as should the lib dems, but I'm arsed if I start a thread for them.
Melons; Green on the outside - red on the Inside

in all seriousness what is the Green party policy on cannabis legalisation?
the UK is so backward when it comes to this (among many other things).

  • R. Cannabis Social Clubs. The Cannabis Social Club is a community-based, non-profit model that can form an integral part of a legally regulated cannabis market. Clubs can cultivate and consume their own cannabis and cannabis products within a regulated membership-based not-for-profit cooperative. Furthermore, they act as a gathering place for recreational consumers and patients using medicinal cannabis as well as a place of information exchange, advice on safer cannabis use, harm reduction and education.
  • Support the decriminalisation of the cultivation and possession of cannabis whilst supporting communities wishing to establish Cannabis Social Clubs through pushing for the development of new legal frameworks, for example allowing for private / 18+ membership, tiered licensing dependent upon membership size, cultivation limit dependent upon membership size and possession limits (for on site and in transit).

Gives a whole new meaning to being the Green part...
