The Greatest ever Goodison game?.......

From games I've attended,

7 -1 v Southampton 1996 (I can still hear "Souness Souness what's the score" in my head) and

7 -1 v Sunderland 2007 (a masterclass in attacking football)

were the most enjoyable experiences.

Having just missed our league winning teams of the 80's the greatest game I have ever been at was the Wimbledon come back in '94. Obviously not for the quality, but staring down the barrel of relegation, which just seemed like an unthinkable dark pit of desolation and despair, at 2-0 down, to the delirium of the comeback was just incredible.

4-4 against a quality Leeds side when Michael Bridges scored a couple of crackers for them, and Davie Weir headed a very late back-post equaliser for us....that was a belter.

Everton 4-0 West Ham 1987 4-0 at half time was the most awesome attacking display I've seen from an Everton side, should have been 12-0

The Wayne Clarke derby was very satisfying

Bayern Munich obviously

So difficult to nail down my own so I'm not going to name my favourite as there have been so many

You've started something here mate

Is right.
The Bulgaria Brazil game wasn't too good as a spectacle, what with the Bulgars kicking everything that moved.
The semi was a bit of a none event for the locals ( me ), having all bought tickets on the strength of the pre published draw, you know the old...winner of group A will play 2nd in group C etc which was England at Goodison
Done over yet again.
But all the other games were boss, the Magyars in the pouring rain as well as the others mentioned.

My very first game was special
The Alex Young Vs Spurs 1-0
Winning the League Vs Fulham.
Inter Milan, we wuz robbed, well not really, Vernon score a decent goal which would've been allowed under todays less stricter interpretation of the offside rule...Alex Young was in an offside position...but maybe being Us we would've got jack then as now.
The Leeds game was special as well for all the wrong reasons
Alan Ball's first Derby
Alan Ball in the night time screened at anfield derby
Alan Ball
Plus all the other later games which will no doubt get a mention

No particular order.

Everton 5-0 Man Utd (presented our credentials that day)
Everton 6-0 Chelsea (Big Bob's 30)
Everton 6-0 Coventry (Thomas/Latchford combination at it's absolute best)
Everton 5-0 Notts forest (Clough in awe)
Everton 4-1 Sunderland (Unstoppable)
Everton 3-1 Bayern Munich (Look out Europe) (Atrocious language removed)
Everton 3-0 rs (Andy Johnson)

Went to all of them.

Hard to argue.

Only missed the Bayern one out of those....feeling better now!!

Wasn't there but the way my dad tells me about the game vs Bayern Munich makes it sound hard to beat. Wasn't the Bayern team like half the German national team as well?
