Alright I've waited until the end of the season to write this post but the last week, sort of, seems appropriate.

Anyway despite not signing anyone in January this board became a Mecca for all Evertonians and Snides alike trying to get some news on the mighty blues.

I say not signing anyone, but in terms of GOT the number of new signings / members was enormous. A lot of people, including myself, came out of the voyeur closet and became members.

I was welcomed by our esteemed Site Owner, GOT, himself and encouraged to post. Years of reading many forums and seeing people bicker and get the piss ripped out of them made me cautious at first. I got going but was convinced, at first, that if I posted then the thread seemed to end.

Actually the point of this drivel is that during the Great LCAB/THT Transfer Rumour Thread someone, and I can’t remember who (and cba looking back through), commented that all the new members would be off as soon as February reached us and said we’ll see whose still here at the end of the season.

So in answer to that point, I am still here, I have been posting and enjoying the banter, I have met Reidy’s Bottle of Grecian (the day Felli’s old man bust his nose at Chelsea) who was with the main man LCAB at the time, although I only found out on here later it was them.

My question to you all is who else is still on and involved since taking the plunge in January to ensure they got hold of the latest news from LCAB and THT.

Thanks to all those that have made me welcome, this is by far the best board to be involved on. From LCAB’s Sunday Sermon, Chico’s brilliantly funny match previews and the excellent coverage of the U81’s from AB as blue boy who could ask for more.

Almost forgot the, enlightening, ”What are you currently listening to?” music thread in the Ale House that I’ve spent a good time listening to as well.

Cheers all

I joined on the 19 May 2008 (3 years tomorrow) and was quite happy to view and not participate, I started posting February this year and have a had a very jolly time indeed. There some great posts on here and some drivel as well but I love it here.

Think I joined at a similar time but never logged in just read the posts so my account had to be reset.

Glad I did like!

Must post more!

Im in the same boat as you guys, been a member since early in the conception of this fine place but just dont post enough.
I will make more of an effort as I browse almost every day.

Amen to that, that's the reason I'm here. I find the banter to be light hearted, and usually there's always a snide who tries to stir, but not here. As you can see by my join date, and I am still here, a shall be for some time.

I joined in Feb, does that count?
I quite like it here and will stay a while I think
  • There's Everton Talk of course some of it quite insightful
  • We're rich in Music Snobs which is a good thing
  • We're well traveled and therefore more than qualified to comment on anything
  • We have healthy topical debates - Standing and Crisp butties
  • Everyone has at least once beaten No1 Evertonian at FIFA and had him quit at half time, despite the fact that some of those don't even posses FIFA, a PS3 or indeed Thumbs

Oh and I've learnt lots of interesting new words phrases Blert/Bell/Massive Weapon

Cheers Lids

After stalking the forum for ages before I decided to join, I finally did in January, and I post semi regularly...

My problem is that I am usually restricted in posting, as my options are...

a) PC, but in work (which I am using now), so not always able to, and of course, not always here to do so...
b) Pain in the arse touchscreen phone, which I actually begrudge texting on most of the time, and which is 2nd only to Everton as a source of my frustration...
c) The Wii... for anyone else who has used the Wii for similar tasks, I need say no more, for everyone else who hasn't, it's a one-letter-at-a-time point and click nightmare...

So I don't "post" as often as I should, but I am round and about most days...

In addition, I did meet/see HSD at Goodison (Villa at Home I think, in the Top Balcony where I have sat for 15 years, and will continue to sit next year after finally deciding to renew...) which goes some way to prove I do actually exist...

As for the summer, hopefully for everyone involved, there will be a bit more for LCAB and THT to be "In the Know" about, than previous windows... and even more hopefully, that will involve exciting incomings, rather than heartbreaking outgoings...

But this is Everton after all, so my advice is, expect the worse, and anything else is a bonus...

:-O
