The King is no mere horse. He took a dive today because he's got nothing to prove to nobody, and he pretended to be hurt just to popcorn the activists. He's the Davek of horseracing.
 
Norwich last minute winner has put me in profit by about £180 for this weekend with football, golf and boxing bets left . Awful day on the horses though not even a poxy place on the national .
 
....stuck with Peter Bowen in the last, 8-1 winner £103 back so managed to turn things around. Win or lose, love the week and already looking forward to next year.

Argh! Hope he's okay. At first I assumed when they said they're all about walking he was fine.

Blimey. Busted ribs are bad enough on a human. How the hell they deal with it on a horse, heavens knows.
 
Damn, hope he's OK. Imagine it'll be very sore for him but just like humans I imagine its a case of grin and bear the pain till they heal. I've cracked a rib twice and I call tell you its agony, so breaking one doesn't bear thinking about.

Had a fiver each way on Monbeg Dude in the National at 50/1, commentator hadn't said its name for the entire race, I thought it must have fell, until the last stretch it bolted up and managed 3rd.

70 quid back, happy days.
