Just finished the book . Loved it SO much , Ive just watched the film .

FUKN AWESOME , btw . Truly awesome .

Lucky for me , The Girl Who Played With Fire is out - TOMORRA !!! Thus , I'm Cinema-bound this time tomorrow .

Read it , watch it .

Ive read the 3 books. thought they were really good. not seen the film though, probably wait for it to be on sky
 
Havent seen or read any of them, but my mate was telling me the story of the books and films.

Said the books didnt take off till after the author died. He was writing in his spare time as a hobby not wanting them published, 3 in total.

And the films themselves are condensed versions of a TV show that got made apparantly. They're like an on going 6 part mini-series ala Cracker that were chopped up to a 2 and half hour film.

You're right about the Author . It's kinda auto-biographical , the guy is an investigative journo at a magazine . He did write it at night for his own amusement .
Lad , theyre fukn knockout . I LOVE Swedish Films . esp' Yellow Bird - who made this . They also did Wallander - original , which is also fab .
Film is superb . TV or not . Superb . In this age of bollox , it is a light in the darkness . Originality still exists . Celebrate !!!

Isnt this gonna be a trilogy? Ive heard of this from my brother who read the book. He keeps pushin me to read it but ive got books lined up so it'll have to wait. I'll get round to it tho.
 
Bought '...Dragon Tatoo' a while back and still haven't got around to reading it.

LCAB, I know you got into the Henning Mankell inspired Wallander series. Have you read any of the Martin Beck detective books (Beck being the fictional cop) by Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo in the 1970s? I thought it might be right up your street (mine for that matter) as the writers were a couple of old Commies who attacked the machinations of big business and neo-nazis in their work.
