The future

I don't think anyone thinks we're too good to go down, everyone knows we're rubbish. There would be a collective shrug of the shoulders should we be relegated. That doesn't mean we should just lay back and accept it with the current incumbent feckless manager.
And that’s why the circling the drain phrase is so apt. Going the game has become a chore. Meeting family and/or friends and ritual is the only reason to go at the moment. The football being played is terrible and has been for 4 years. The manager is and have been terrible for 4 years.

Moshiri has failed in just about every area of this club (stadium being the only bright spot). Recruitment has been poor, the commercial side of the club has stagnated, we are a financial basket case and the management of the playing side of the business has been failure after failure. The squad is poor, yes, and it needs massively updating but that will take time, both to make sure we get the right people and don't screw it up like last time and to remain compliant with all of the financial regulations. I don't see the Friedkins going all shock and awe in the transfer market, I don't think we have the psr latitude to do so. What we can do, right now, as in today, is change the management of the football team. A management team that has run out of ideas and seemingly run out of belief that it can make a material difference to our fortunes..
I agree. But people must remind themselves at all times: this squad is not good enough. Every window is now vital. No need for shock and awe. But there can no longer be windows that we sit out. The revitalisation of this squad must be a continuous job. These chancers are unworthy of the shirt.
